Cloisonné, as the foremost of the "Eight Unique Skills of Beijing," holds significant traditional cultural and historical importance. Therefore, Jingjing Cloisonné, in partnership with Beijing Bank, is hosting a VIP member event, "Encountering Cloisonné: Experiencing Master Craftsmen and Meeting with Master Dai Jialin," aiming to promote traditional Chinese culture, inherit traditional handicrafts, and experience the ingenuity of cloisonné makers. Through various activities, more people will understand the cultural connotations of cloisonné, feel the spirit of craftsmanship, appreciate life, and cultivate their mind and body.

To thank our VIP customers for their support, all customers who make an appointment can participate free of charge in the "Master Craftsmen Enamel Experience" activity (valued at 298 RMB), and the cloisonné piece they create will be given to each participant as a unique gift.

*Note: Due to the special nature, high cost, and safety considerations of this experience, only 20 seats are available. Advance registration is required; walk-ins will not be accommodated!

II. Activity Content & Highlights

Activity Theme: Encountering Cloisonné: Experiencing the Enameling Process of a Master Craftsman and Meeting with Master Dai Jialin

1. Cultural Understanding with Master Dai Jialin

Master craftsman Dai Jialin, a master of arts and crafts in the Asia-Pacific region and a master of Chinese arts and crafts, will share the cultural stories of cloisonné. These refined pieces serve as exceptional luxury gifts for him and stunning additions to any upscale gift gallery.

2. Wire-Firming Craft Experience

The instructor will explain and demonstrate the technique, allowing customers to personally experience the firming process in traditional cloisonné craftsmanship.

3. Hands-On Enameling Experience

The instructor will explain the instructions and procedures, and introduce the principles of enamel making. Customers will personally experience the process, combining mind and hand.

IV. Detailed Event Schedule

• 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Guest registration and seating. (Materials: Registration sheet, registration table, pens)
• 2:00 PM – 2:05 PM: Opening remarks by the host. (Materials: Microphone)
• 2:05 PM – 2:35 PM: Meet and Greet with Master Dai, who will share his insights on cloisonné culture and his artistic journey.
• 2:35 PM – 3:00 PM: Instructor's explanation and demonstration of the cloisonné technique, with customers able to experience it firsthand. (Materials: Copper wire, tweezers, scissors, white glue, plates, drawings, carbon paper, ballpoint pens)
• 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: The instructor will explain the enamel enameling and firing techniques, with customers able to experience them firsthand. (Materials: Copper sheets, small bowls, water boxes, enamel, enamel spatulas, electric furnace, picture frames)
• 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Cloisonné artwork appreciation and experience sharing.

VI. Enamel Experience Instructions & Safety Guidelines

Enamel, with its vibrant colors and ever-changing forms, is one of the most aesthetically pleasing and expressive decorative items.

Safety Tips

• Handle the copper sheet gently to avoid cutting your fingers;
• The enamel spatula is only for applying enamel and should not be used to poke others to avoid injury;
• The enamel firing table should not be touched by anyone other than the operator to avoid burns.

Step-by-Step Creation Process

1. Selection: Choose your favorite enamel.
2. Cleaning: Clean the selected enamel 2–3 times.
3. Base Coating: Use the enamel spatula to evenly apply the cleaned enamel to the copper sheet, about 1 mm thick.
4. Enameling: Hand the coated copper sheet to the enamel firing instructor.
5. Creative Painting: Create your own artwork on the fired copper sheet, focusing on abstract painting.
6. Enameling: Hand the creative enamel piece to the enamel firing instructor.
7. Framing: Frame the creative enamel piece.
8. Completion: Complete your creative enamel piece.
